Tahoe!

On Friday, January 15th, Josh and I went to Lake Tahoe with Josh's friend Jenny (aka Kenny). We actually stayed in Reno, but the whole point of the trip was for Josh and Jenny to ride at North Star in Tahoe so that's why I say we went to Tahoe! We left pretty late on Friday so we didn't do much. We just got our car, got something to eat, got some breakfast food at Walmart, checked out our hotel and went to bed.
We stayed at the hotel/casino, Eldorado. It was pretty cool. We got it for really cheap on Priceline.com, it was 50 bucks a night and we shared a room with Jenny so it was even cheaper!
The hotel had a shuttle that took you to the ski resorts so the boys decided to do that to save money on gas and stuff. Plus, the lift ticket was cheaper through the hotel!
The boys woke up early on Saturday and went boarding. I just chilled at the hotel. When I got out of the shower I saw that Josh had called me. It was about 1:00 p.m. so I thought it kinda weird because I thought they'd be boarding for most of the day. I called him back and he said they were done and asked if I would come and get them since the shuttle wouldn't be there to pick them up until 5:00 p.m. I headed out to get them but it took about a half hour to get there. They were at this music store so I picked them up there. Josh came out and the first thing he says to me is, "Don't freak out but the real reason I had you come pick us up is because I kinda got a concussion." I was so mad that he didn't tell me until this point! Apparently, he was hitting this tree rail and he caught his edge and fell on his head. The fall was about 6 feet and there wasn't much snow. Luckily, he was wearing a helmet. He started seizuring and was completely knocked out for about 15 minutes. It took Jenny a little while to get someone's attention to go and get the ski patrol guys. They made Josh ride in an ambulance to the hospital where he got a CAT Scan and an MRI done. Thank goodness for insurance! So anyway, he didn't want me freaking out on the ride up to get them but I felt bad because I took my sweet time getting there! We were all starving once we got back into Reno so we went and ate at the Claim Jumper. I love that place because the portions are HUGE and it's really good.

*Josh, his sad face, and his hospital bracelet*
Jenny's woman, Ali, flew in late Saturday to join the party...
Sunday we slept in and then went back to Ross, T.J. Maxx and Burlington Coat Factory.
*The boys being winners (as they usually are whenever they get together)*
After shopping, we ate at this delicious pizza buffet called Round Table Pizza.
*Josh's plate, nothing but pepperoni*
*The boys being gross and shoving an entire piece of pizza into their mouths*
*Wasting all their balloons by sucking the helium out of them*
*My first time. They made me*
Kenny was kinda enough to put the car in Josh's name so Josh had to drive the whole time. What a guy.
*Messin' around in the hotel*
*I'm sure they loved us for these ones*
Our hotel was connected to Circus Circus and they had a way fun arcade that we played in for a couple hours. Arcades are always a good time in our book! When we got there they had some show going on with girls on super tall unicycles doing crazy things with bowls on their heads. It was pretty entertaining. One girl would put a bowl on her foot and then kick it off and another girl would catch it on her head!
Jenny rocked at this "Chicken-In-A-Pot" game and made us try but we failed...
Next up the boys played some punching game...
*Josh was very excited about finding our favorite game at the arcade*
*JUMPIN' JACKPOT*
Which, by the way, Josh totally rocks at! He won the first time he tried here! He's actually even won it everywhere he's played it! Maybe he should be a professional jumper or something...
*Jenny practicing*
*The others tried but didn't have as much luck as Josh :)*
*Josh tried a couple other times but lost right at the last second*
Josh was certain that they could win the "Air Ball" game and he was right! They both won an awesome lizard stuffed animal! Woo hoo!
There was also an awesome claw machine filled with Simpsons stuffed animals. If you know Josh, you know what a fanatic he is about The Simpsons. He has about every episode memorized. Seriously. It's insane. So naturally, he had to try to win one...
*SUCCESS*
*I love this picture because he's seriously SO happy*
*Calling it a night and heading back to our room*
*Me with all our loot*
All in all it was a fun trip.
Too bad it ended up costing us about $1000.00 in medical bills... :)
